MERCHANDISE STORE
Since December 2018, the UvA has had its own merchandise store and webshop. You can find the store in the heart of the city center, next to the famous Maagdenhuis in Amsterdam on the Spui. A variety of merchandise with the official UvA logo is for sale in the store.
SUSTAINABILITY
The UvA values sustainability and that is why many of our products are sustainably produced and our suppliers have the correct certifications. For example, our hoodies and sweaters are made from organic cotton and the bicycle bag shoppers are made from recycled rice bales. *Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is an international standard for organic clothing and textiles. GOTS assumes 100% organic raw material and clothing and textiles with this quality mark must consist of at least 70% organic fibers. The strictest standard for organic textiles is met throughout the entire chain - from harvesting the raw materials, through socially responsible production to labelling, packaging and distribution. The GOTS certification also requires compliance with social criteria in cotton cultivation and processing into fabric. This concerns matters such as minimum wages, a ban on child labor and a safe and hygienic working environment. Checked by Control Union Certifications
We sometimes ship our products in used packaging material, so don't be alarmed if there are more or less wrinkles in the box.
